Dr. Jeffrey Judkins relocated to the Rogue Valley from Portland, Oregon, in search of sun, a slower pace and land for his dogs to run on. “Dr. J” got his veterinary degree from Louisiana State University in 1984, and has practiced in Austin, Texas, and Fairbanks, Alaska, before establishing Hawthorne Veterinary Clinic, the first holistic veterinary hospital in Portland, Oregon, in 1995. Now he brings his unique style of holistic, complementary veterinary medicine to Southern Oregon.
Dr. Carolyn Love
Dr. Carolyn Love joined Animalkind Veterinary Clinic after moving to southern Oregon from Austin, Texas, where she owned Love Pet Hospital for 23 years. She is happy to be in a more Zen setting in Jacksonville! A graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Love is certified in veterinary acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS), and veterinary chiropractic through Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas. She has studied advanced techniques in acupuncture, Chinese Tui Na massage and Chinese food therapy through the Chi Institute in Florida. Cold laser therapy treatment is also part of her practice, as well as ozone therapy to help stimulate the immune system and heal tissues in certain cases. She has also studied nutrition and supplements. Dr. Love has two canine kids, a Labradoodle and a Doberman, who are both very sweet boys.
